MODULE 1 - HOOKS

Think of it like a headline or first sentence that sparks curiosity, emotion, or interest your audience stops scrolling to finds out.

A good hook must grab the readers attention

Proven Hook Structures for SM In Recent Times

1. Quotes

You start with a powerful or relevant quote usually by successful people, then tie it into your topic.

Example

2. Statistics

Use a shocking or interesting stat to immediately grab attention

3. Analogies

Compare a complex idea to something familiar and relatable, vice versa.

  2. Copywriting is like a movie, they start with curiosity and end with a lesson.

3. Cost narration

Tell a quick, personal or relatable story, especially about what it cost to not act sooner. usually time-dependent.

4. Costly mistake

Same as cost narration, just here you use the word “MISTAKE” as people want to learn from other peoples mistakes

5. Borrowed authority

Reference a respected figure, brand, or research to lend credibility.

Example

  1. Harvard researchers found that the average adult makes 35,000 decisions per day. Your brand’s copy needs to make one of them easy…

6. hypothetical examples

Ask the reader to imagine a scenario especially one they deeply desire or fear.

Example

  1. Imagine checking your phone, and saw 3 new client inquiries without cold outreach. this funnel strategy does that.
  2. The only thing you need to master to achieve X

With all these hook structures, you will able to develop your own hooks using your brand tonality that aligns with your audience and draws attention towards your content.
